The rules of the BARCELONA FILM TRAVEL .COM available in Catalan, Spanish and English.
The first edition will be held from 28 to 30 March 2025.
This BARCELONA FILM TRAVEL .COM festival is organized by the Multisectoral Association G39338728
1.- FESTIVAL REGISTRATIONS, COMPETITIONS AND SECTIONS
BARCELONA FILM TRAVEL .COM has 2 competitions: TOURISM COMMUNICATION and DOCUMENTARIES.
The first of the competitions (TOURIST COMMUNICATION) accepts productions of up to 10 minutes in length.
This competition is divided into 4 metacategories and different subcategories:
1. Tourist destinations:
1.1. Country
1.2. Region
1.3. City
2. Tourism products
2.1. Rural destination
The film promotes a rural destination or facility located in a rural environment
2.2. Cultural destination
The film promotes a destination as an asset of special cultural interest, either a route or specific facilities
2.3. Active and sports tourism, nautical, snow and adventure
The film shows tourist activities related to sports practice
2.4. Expeditions and discovery
The film illustrates itineraries where adventure and the spirit of discovery prevail
2.5. Events
The film documents an event related to the tourism promotion of a facility, a city, a region or a country
2.6. Business tourism
The film shows business or public initiatives dedicated to the promotion of business tourism
2.7. Film tourism
The film shows the specific promotional activity of a city, region or country or illustrates the variety of locations of a city, region or country to become a filming location for audiovisual productions.
2.8. Gastronomic experiences and wine tourism
The film illustrates the activities of private establishments or public agents to promote gastronomic or wine tourism.
2.9. Authentic experiences, linked to the territory
The film shows tourist activities with a strong personality, linked to a specific territory
3. Tourist services:
3.1. Tourist Accommodation
The film promotes facilities dedicated to the accommodation of travelers
3.2. Health and well-being
The film promotes facilities, destinations or routes that base their activity on the promotion of health and well-being
3.3. Mobility
The film shows initiatives or services related to passenger mobility
3.4. Accessible and responsible tourism
The film illustrates tourist activities that stand out for their inclusive nature or the promotion of accessibility to all types of people.
3.5. Business action
The film shows business initiatives that stand out especially for their originality, their ecological impact or their social impact.
3.6. Innovation
The film shows initiatives by public agents or private actors that stand out for their innovative and transformative vocation.
4. Independent travel film
The film is made by an independent producer
The DOCUMENTARIES competition accepts webdocs, TV programmes, short films (up to 29′), medium-length films (up to 60′) and feature films (up to 120′):

2. Biographies
3. History and Heritage
4. Sustainable tourism
5. Preservation of the planet
6. Ethnography and society
7. Corporate Documentaries
8. Transport and eco-mobility
9. Social responsibility
10. Arts, music and culture
In all cases, in order to formalise the registration, each user must:
. Fill out a form on the festival intranet for each production presented. Pay the entry fee for each submitted production

2.- YEAR OF PRODUCTION
All films or campaigns entered into the festival must have been produced after January 1, 2023.
3.- ORIGINAL VERSIONS AND LANGUAGES
The Festival accepts submissions in any language. However, all films submitted must have subtitles in English, Catalan or Spanish.
4.- END FOR REGISTRATIONS
All entries must be registered by 14 March 2025 at 24.00 (CET).
5.- FORMS AND SUBMISSIONS
To formalize the registration, for each of the registered films it is required:

6.- REGISTRATION FEES AND PAYMENT DETAILS
Cancellations are not allowed. Payment of the entry fee will be made in euros by bank transfer to the following account:

In addition, the festival will award special prizes and technical prizes. In order to access this last type of awards, it will be necessary to extend the registration through the festival’s intranet.
BARCELONA FILM TRAVEL will .COM accept film submissions from the festhome.com platform. These registrations must meet the specific requirements of this platform as well as the requirements of BARCELONA FILM TRAVEL in everything related to formats, shipments and registration fees.
7.- RIGHTS OF USE
By submitting a film to the Festival, the participant ensures ownership of all rights inherent to the submission and access to these same rights during the festival period. The submission guarantees that the rights of use held by the authors, copyright owners and other agents involved in the production of the registered film, with the exception of the rights safeguarded by the societies that hold the exhibition rights, were acquired legitimately and the festival reserves the right to use them, not being impeded by copyright or other rights of third parties, whatever they may be. When a participant registers a film, he/she transfers to the festival the rights to use the submission, specifically the right to exhibit the film in public, through a website or by streaming, either in whole or in part, or to distribute it in whole or in part in promotional actions. This also applies to photographs/images supplied to the festival. All of the above-mentioned transfers of use are valid internationally.
8.- PRIZES
A jury will analyse the films entered and will issue a verdict on those that will become part of the Official Competition. During the festival, the winners of the different awards by categories, technical awards and special prizes will be announced, which will be awarded during the festival. Prizes will also be awarded to the best tourism campaigns.
9.- NOTIFICATION TO THE WINNERS
The works registered in the competition will be evaluated in advance and the winners will be notified in due time. The presence of the winning participants at the Awards Ceremony in a yet-to-be-determined setting of BARCELONA FILM TRAVEL .COM is a moment of recognition, so it is recommended to come and collect the award during the ceremony. The decisions of the jury are not subject to appeal. The decisions of the jury and the Festival Organization are final and do not admit any legal appeal.
In the event that the Festival is cancelled for reasons beyond the control of the organization, the amount of the registration fees will be refunded.
10.- SENDING THE TROPHY AND DUPLICATES
In the event that a winner is unable to attend the trophy ceremony, the organization will send the trophy to the winner. The shipping prices will be invoiced to the interested party.
The festival offers the possibility of issuing replicas or duplicates of the trophy. The cost of production and shipping will be invoiced to the interested party.
11.- RESPONSIBILITY OF THE FESTIVAL
The Festival reserves the right to re-classify the films by directing them towards other categories, whenever such is considered appropriate and with the agreement of the participant. The Festival declines any responsibility for submissions of films that are classified in the wrong category or that enter the Festival’s records after the deadline stipulated for this purpose. The Festival’s liability is limited to circumstances of intentional or negligent conduct which applies only in the event of loss or damage to an entered work. The Festival organization does not accept any responsibility for the cancellation of the Festival for reasons of force majeure, beyond its control.
12.- OTHER PROVISIONS
The Festival reserves the right to exhibit the works entered in competition in promotional actions in order to disseminate them in a medium considered suitable for the Festival. This also applies to photographs/images supplied by the Festival. Participants transfer to the Festival organization all rights applicable to the aforementioned initiatives at the time of registration. Participants agree to receive the festival’s newsletter on a regular basis. Any notification of special interest to participants will be sent by email. The Festival reserves the right to use all sound and image recordings made during the Festival for advertising purposes in any media deemed appropriate by the Festival. The Festival reserves the right to exclude submissions of films in competition. By submitting a film to the Festival, the participant accepts the rules of the competition and all its rules, and the participant is fully responsible for any injuries to his/her own right or those of third parties, whether or not caused by the use of the film or the provision of false information. The exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes arising out of or related to these regulations shall be Madrid. Personal data will not be disclosed or transferred to third parties.
